Got a Laserbox, pretty cool

Ordered a Laserbox for some craft projects. It came pretty quick, maybe five days. It was bigger than I thought it would be, but it fits in my workshop. Used it on some basswood sheets and cardboard. It worked just fine, cut through them no problem. The software was easy enough to figure out. Overall, it's a neat machine and does what I need it to do.

Love my new mBot Neo!

Just got the mBot Neo for my nephew and he absolutely loves it! The setup was so much fun, we did it together. The app is super intuitive and he started coding in no time. It's built really sturdy, which is great for a kid's toy. I will definitely be looking at their other robot kits for gifts next year. This was a fantastic buy!

xTool D1 purchase experience

I ordered the xTool D1 laser engraver last month. Shipping took about a week to get to me in California, which was pretty standard. The packaging was very secure, everything arrived undamaged. Setup was a bit involved, but the online guides were helpful. I had one question about the software settings, and customer support replied to my email within a day with a clear answer. The engraver itself performs really well, I've used it on wood and acrylic sheets with good results. I appreciate the quality for the price point. No major complaints.

Great value on CyberPi

I was looking for a coding device for my classroom and found the CyberPi during their Cyber Monday sale. Got a decent discount, which made it a much better deal than some competitors. Shipping was free because my order was over $100, which saved a bit more. The value for the features it offers is solid. It felt like a smart purchase for my budget. The kids are enjoying using it for their projects, so that's a win.

Thinking of getting an xTool D1 for a side hustle, but super hesitant because of the cost. Are these things actually legit or just fancy paperweights after a few months?

L Linda Thomas 2 weeks ago
No issues with mine, had it for almost a year now. The warranty on them is pretty solid too, I think it's like a year or two? Check their site but definitely not a paperweight.

Mine's been chugging along fine. Just make sure you register it after you get it, for the warranty stuff. Heard good things about their support if something does go wrong.

I'm looking at the mBot vs mBot Neo for my elementary school coding club. What's the main difference? Is the Neo worth the extra cash?

S Sofia Carter 4 weeks ago
The Neo has some cooler sensors and a bit more advanced stuff, better for future-proofing maybe. If your kids are just starting, the regular mBot is totally fine though, still super engaging.

Neo is definitely an upgrade. Better connectivity and some extra capabilities. If you're planning on using it for a while and want more flexibility, go Neo. For basic intros, original mBot is solid.

Hey, looking to grab an mBot for my kid's birthday. How long does shipping usually take to, say, California? Trying to time it right.

I'm in LA, got my mBot Neo in about 5-7 business days. It wasn't super fast but not horrible either.

Mine took a bit longer, closer to 10 days for an xTool. Depends on what you order and where in CA maybe. Don't leave it to the last minute.

Does anyone know if the first order discount stacks with the Back to School sale prices? Trying to get an mBot Ranger and save as much as possible for my classroom.

L Linda D. 2 weeks ago
Nah, pretty sure you can only use one coupon at a time. I tried combining a holiday sale code with a newsletter one last year and it didn't work. They're usually pretty strict on that.

Yeah, almost all online stores are like that. Pick the bigger discount if you can't stack 'em!

Quick question about returns - if I open an mBot kit and my kid hates it (fingers crossed they won't!), can I still send it back?

L Lisa Lewis 2 weeks ago
I think for opened robot kits, they might have a different policy or a restocking fee. You should definitely double-check their return terms on their site, it's usually pretty specific for electronics once the seals are broken.

Yeah, most places won't take back opened software or kits unless it's defective. I'd read the fine print before you buy if that's a big concern for you.
